"To provide additional cost effective local environment and community services to make Birchwood a pleasant place to live and work. To be a "Can Do" Council".

Population - 14,000 - 15,000 (Year 2000)

Properties - 6500 - includes private and mixture of social housing managed by Warrington Borough Council and Manchester and District Housing Association. 

Precept - £271,550 for year 2001/2002

Warrington Borough Council Band 'D' - £880 (Birchwood element £73.65 per band 'D' i.e. £1.40/week)
