What’s on at Birchwood Forest Park?Events start at the Ranger Centre at Birchwood Forest Park, unless otherwise stated. Tuesday 6 March 1.30pm - 3.00pm March meander Join the Rangers for a moderately paced 3 mile walk around the Birchwood area. Ideal if you’re new to walking or taking steps towards a healthier lifestyle. Monday 9 April 2.00pm - 3.30pm Chucky eggs Join in this traditional egg painting event, followed by egg rolling and other Easter-eggy antics. Please bring hard boiled eggs. Lend a Hand The Rangers organise regular workdays in Birchwood Forest Park throughout the year. If you want to get involved in some practical work, learn new skills and meet new people, contact the Rangers on 01925 824239. You must be over 16 years old to take part in these workdays.
What’s on at Risley Moss Local Nature Reserve?Events are organised in conjunction with Risley Moss Action Group (RIMAG) and start from the Visitor Centre at Risley Moss Local Nature Reserve. Thursday 16 February 2.00pm - 3.30pm Wildlife Windows Make a colourful decoration to hang up in your home using willow sticks and tissue paper. Sunday 18 March 11.00am - 1.00pm Mossland Meander Join us on this springtime mossland walk to look out for signs that our native wildlife is waking up. It may still be chilly, so wrap up warmly and wear stout footwear. Places are limited so please book in advance on 01925 824339. Sunday 1 April 11.00am - 1.00pm Easter Art Get ready for Easter and make some crafty creations and eggy articles with RIMAG and the Rangers.

The Risley Moss Action Group (RIMAG) helps run events, raise funds for projects, survey wildlife and manage the reserve. The group is always looking for new enthusiastic members.
