The 2010 Birchwood in Bloom Competition was judged in early July.

In previous years, several days were taken up with judging the thousands of front gardens throughout the area, at the expense of other work regularly undertaken by the Town Council.  This year residents were invited to formally enter the competition, so that only the gardens that were entered had to be judged

This year there will be a first, second and third prize winner and ten highly commended winners.  The three main prize winners will be revealed at a small, informal event to be held later on in the year.

Entrants will find out in late September/early October whether they are one of the thirteen residents whose gardens have scored the highest points and who will be invited, with a guest, to the presentation evening.

We would like to thank all those residents who entered the competition; your efforts are always appreciated as each well tended front garden helps to make Birchwood a more pleasant and attractive place to live.
