BULKY WASTE SERVICES SUSPENDED
Due to the theft of the skip that the Town Council uses to dispose of the items collected as part of our bulky waste disposal service, we regret to have to inform residents that this service has had to be suspended.
We do not yet know when we will be able to resume the service. Once the situation is resolved details will be updated on this website. In the meantime, residents can still take waste to any of the Borough Council's free Community Recycling Centres (such as 'Woolston tip'). In addition all residents who live within the borough of Warrington can request a bulky waste collection from Warrington Borough Council.
The services which are provided by the Borough Council include:
- white goods collection service (free of charge) e.g. fridges, freezers,
- bulky waste collection service (chargeable) e.g. old beds, sofas, other furniture,
- one free bulky waste collection (benefits claimants only, one per financial year).
The Borough Council can be contacted on 01925 443322 or via their website: www.warrington.gov.uk.
' Serving Our Local Community'

Birchwood Town Council, responsible for the administration of the area, is quite unique in that it has its own community maintenance resource currently made up of five Maintenance Operatives. They are on hand five days a week to tackle things such as litter picking and landscape maintenance. All our staff are competent and are equipped with the knowledge, support and equipment required to do their job.
In addition there are three part-time office staff who, together with local Councillors, deal with matters of concern to our residents on a daily basis.
We also employ the services of a part-time Facilities Supervisor who takes any bookings for the Community Meeting Room and who, along with our part-time Facilities Assistant/Cleaner, keeps the Town Council's premises clean and tidy.
We are located at Parkers Farm, Delenty Drive, Birchwood
