Recently,
interesting events have taken place at our school.
Here are some of them...
The
changes on our playground are now complete. We have
a play area, in the play area there are giant coloured
pencils, balancing bars and a balancing beam. Also
there are five wooden benches and a superb performance
area.
In
autumn last year our school pupils planted approximately
1000 daffodil bulbs - which are around our performance
area. The daffodils are now adding some lovely colour
to the playground.
We
would like to say "thank you" to the P.T.A. for organising
our school disco and our brilliant Christmas Fayre.
These events helped raise money for our new computer
suite, which is now completed and will be open very
soon.
On
the 16th November, Year 6 went on a residential trip
to Ilam Hall; Derbyshire. The trip was very educational
for the children. They really enjoyed it, as they
did very interesting activities. Some of the activities
were: orienteering, kite making, making nature mosaics
and a rocket launch challenge.
Year
6 would like to say "thank you" to Mr. Gleave (parent
helper), Mrs Ashley, Mrs. Gosney and Miss Leach for
helping the children. Year 6 would especially like
to say "thank you" to Mrs. Nixon for organising the
trip.
Hayley
price (an ex Olympic gymnast) has visited the school
to talk to the children about "SuperKids", a fundraising
event. We really enjoyed this event.
