Information about roadworks and transportation
Information regarding any planned roadworks, local highways and transportation:
WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
SUNDAY 19th AUGUST 2018 (8:30am to 1:00pm)
By virtue of the powers given in that behalf by the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, and by order of the Council:
I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on the occasion of the above mentioned event, no cart, carriage, motor car, lorry or other vehicle (excepting vehicles taking part in the event, Police, Ambulance and Fire Service vehicles and Mail Carts) and no horses or other animal be allowed to remain in or travel along or over any of the undermentioned streets between the hours of 8:30am and 1:00pm on Sunday 19 August 2018 viz:
Dewhurst Road From its junction with Benson Road to its junction with Admirals Road.
Admirals Road From its junction with Dewhurst Road to its junction with Ordnance Avenue.
Ordnance Avenue From its junction with Oakwood Gate to its junction with Admirals Road.
Cross Lane (westbound) From its junction with Warrington Road to its junction with Lady Lane.
Lords Lane For its entire length.
Birchwood Boulevard For its entire length.
Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term "vehicle" and must not be ridden through any of the above streets during the hours specified. Any person wilfully acting in contravention of the above order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
The restrictions will only be in place as and when the signs are in place on site and access will be under the control of the event organiser for the duration of the event.
